There are negative factors in the organic industry. We are a niche market and therefore eggs are very expensive in some places. Though there is a high demand for the eggs overall, we cannot yet fill the local markets which sugests the interest in them is growing. Organic ways also require more space and labour to run as most pests must be eradicated by hand. To help us with this we host willing workers, who work on the farm for free room and board. The “WWOOF”'ers have been a great help in keeping the farm natural and beautiful without us having to revert to stronger methods.
